Help Jenna on Her Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
In September of 2019, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I underwent several chemo treatments, and in December of 2020, after immunotherapy, and by the grace of God, I was officially in remission for this cancer. It was a tough road, but with the help of my family, loved ones and the fantastic medical team, I had beaten this disease.
I began to fall ill again in May this year after feeling sickly and being admitted for high fevers. I returned to the hospital and received the news that my worst fear had become a reality. I was diagnosed with a recurrence. Meaning my cancer was back. I was having some issues and was ultimately diagnosed with HLH as well. HLH can be caused by cancer, which means that my immune system is attacking my body, and in my case, it’s causing damage to my liver. I am here at MD Anderson preparing for my Stem Cell Transplant. I will be monitored inpatient and continue recovery with my caregiver.
This disease has taken so much from me, but taking my independence from me, has been the hardest thing to come to terms with.
Because of this, I am creating this page to ask for the help and support of my friends, family and anyone else who finds it in their heart to want to help. Although my healthcare insurance covers my treatment, other expenses are not. I still have bills that I need to pay and cannot do that because I have not been able to work for months and will not be able to due to my time dedicated to recovering. I am currently an inpatient at MD Anderson and have no idea when I will be able to return home.
I am genuinely grateful for anything you can contribute to my fundraising goal.
I am committed to fighting this disease and continuing to fight for my life. I look forward to achieving the goals I have set forth post-treatment and God's plans for me. God is with me and my faith in him never waivers. With my family, friends and God's support, I will beat this disease again.
God hears us all; please keep me in your prayers. Knowing that others are also praying for my recovery does more for me than you will ever know. As they say, there is strength in numbers, especially when it comes to prayer.
Thank you so much,
Jenna and Family
