MxC's Birthday Wishes - Magick Education & Writing

Donation protected
My name is MxC and I am also known as Christian Henning.  I am a radical faerie priestess, a Reclaiming witch, an activist, and a lifetime learner.  I'm raising funds on the occasion of my 44th birthday, which approaches on September 21, 2019.  If you have $5, $10, $20, or more to send my way in support of my birthday wishes, please do!

It's challenging to ask for what I want and need, yet here I am, because this year I want something big for my birthday, bigger than I can manifest from my own finances.  I want to attend a nine-month magical study and community building workshop called Way of the Weaver.  The workshop is being taught by two priestesses who I have learned much from over the years: Jamie Waggoner and Murphy Robinson.  I am dreaming of raising the $1,500 program tuition through this fundraiser.

By taking this workshop, I seek to deepen my knowledge and training in the pagan spiritual path.  The workshop draws from a variety of adjacent traditions, which I will study to expand my journey in the Reclaiming tradition .  I intend to dig deep into my shadow self in order to excavate my trauma history and evolve beyond survival skills that no longer serve, addiction and mental health challenges that still affect my life, and all those emotional blocks that hold me back from my full magickal self.  And as a Reclaiming witch, my full magickal self includes dedication to activism that is grounded in feminism and seeks to dismantle white supremacy, racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism, and ageism, while advocating for a just society that lives in sustainable harmony with our Mother Earth.

As part of this nine month journey of change, I seek to renew and expand my artistic journey in the form of writing.  When I moved to Vermont in 2014 to live at the radical faerie sanctuary, my writing practice was mostly left behind in NYC.  We live off the grid at the sanctuary, without electric power for the first couple years I was here.  As my writing practice was developed using a keyboard and computer, and I had no keyboard on the land, I fell out of the habit and practice of writing.  Now that I'm ready to dive back in, I need a laptop computer, so I can write while at the sanctuary, as well as wherever I find myself.  I am dreaming of raising an additional $1,000 to upgrade my tech to support my mobile writing practice.

And last of all, as part of raising funds for myself, I will tithe 10% to the indigenous Abenaki people of my local area.  I am dreaming of raising a total of $3,000 or more in order to help make my dreams of spiritual education and artistic writing expansion come true, while helping the indigenous descendants of this land.  If I raise more than I need for the class and computer, I will split the excess and donate it to Faerie Camp Destiny, the Elnu Abenaki  band of Southern Vermont, and Black Lives Matter Vermont.

So don't hold back; please help if you can!  Any donation, small or large, is appreciated.

If you've wished me happy birthday over the years, please accept my sincere gratitude and appreciation for considering contributing to this birthday gift.

You are essential to my utopia.  Thank you.

I'm a kitchen witch, first and foremost; here processing elderberries.
