Dear Family and Friends,
This upcoming winter a few Cornell students and I will be going on a dental outreach trip to Guatemala providing free dental care to those in need. We are partnered with Volunteers Around the World (VAW). VAW is an organization that develops community health systems while providing interns the opportunity to work alongside experienced local healthcare professionals. On our trip, we will be opening up and bringing mobile dental clinics to villages. Through those dental clinics, interns like me will be assisting professionals in performing multiple procedures that locals would not have access to otherwise. Procedures include fillings, restorations, cleanings and extractions. As many of you might know, I just finished my first year of college, and over this past year I prayed and meditated over whether or not I should evangelize abroad or continue to do so locally. And as I prayed over it, I really felt God pulling me to spread the good news abroad. While this dental outreach trip isn’t officially a mission trip, most of the interns and I are active servers at our church up at school, and we see this as a perfect opportunity to share the Gospel with locals in Guatemala verbally and through our works. I was wondering if you could all keep the rest of my team and I, as well as the locals in Guatemala in your prayers. I ask for a prayer that God keep us close and that we may be good witness bearers on this trip. Lastly, I wanted to ask if you all wanted to help financially support me on this trip as I have to raise $2,000 to attend this outreach trip. If not, your continued prayers are greatly appreciated. If you feel that donating to my trip is something God is pulling you to do, I provided a link below that you can use. Again, any support is greatly appreciated, and I hope that at the end of the day, God is glorified.
Thank you so much and God bless!
