Family of 5 loses everything in fire.The Christmas Tree was up, the house was decorated, Black Friday shopping behind them and packages under the tree. This December 3rd seemed like any other day leading up to Christmas.
Then in a few short moments all their belongings were gone, as a fire broke out from what appears to be a faulty GFI plug in the bathroom, destroying everything in its path, and damaging the rest with smoke.
The phone call came that nobody ever wants to hear. "Your apartment is on fire". Coach Andy Perry quickly thought, Shawnika is at work, the three boys were with him. This meant that his family was not at home, and safe.
Upon arriving home, he was greeted by the firemen, and then reality set in, it was all destroyed. Leaving the family with nothing but what they had on their persons.
As they looked around the devastation, a sign "FOLLOW DREAMS" peeked through the char and devastation, a glimmer of life appeared, their pet Goldfish was still alive. All energy was was focused on getting "Dash" the Goldfish out and to the safety of clean, cooler water. On Dec 4, less then 24 hours later Dash passed away.
