Support for a heartbroken family

Hello,

My name is Mathilde and I'm starting this fundraiser for Teresa and her family.

I met Teresa and Blake when they hired me as their doula for the birth of their baby. The first thing that struck me is how generous and happy was this family.

While getting to know them, I quickly learned about Blake undergoing regular treatments, biopsies and chemotherapies, due to a extremely rare kidney disease. His disease makes him, unfortunately, unable to work at the moment.

Despite their difficulties, they dedicate their life to give a happy life to kids in the fostering system. They became a foster family a few years ago, bringing joy to three children, and are now in the process of adopting two young siblings.

To complete their happiness, they decided to start a new journey for their family and Teresa became quickly pregnant. Her pregnancy was going as best as it could, until the 20 weeks anatomy scan.

They found out during this ultrasound their sweet baby had multiple abnormalities that would be most likely the result of an inability to live, or a life with disabilities. They are currently waiting for more tests in order to know more about their baby's condition and how to prepare for their baby's birth, regardless of the severity.

Today, I am raising fund to help this family to financially overcome this. Their pain is great enough to add financial problems. Teresa would benefit from time off work, unfortunately she's currently unable to take days off for financial reasons. They will also look at medical bills and such that will need to be addressed. This is the worst a family can go through, and I hope to raise money for them to get some help and comfort by not having to worry about money on top of things.

If you're unable to give money and are religious, a prayer for Teresa, her baby and her family would be gladly accepted. If you're local to Orange county, a meal delivery would be also a tremendous help.
