Hi, my name is Suzanne Jeffrey, and on Aug 29th my brother in law, Mike, was involved in a life-altering bike accident and is facing a long road to recovery. Doctors are already predicting the need for additional medical procedures and surgeries over the next year. Mike is self-employed and the main provider for his family, so there is currently an enormous need to help support Mike’s wife and his daughters during this time and apply toward Mike’s mounting medical expenses.
INJURIES/MEDICAL INFO
Currently, Mike is hospitalized and is undergoing multiple surgeries, but stable. Mike’s injuries from the accident include what will be some lasting internal injuries and multiple broken bones - including his pelvis, knee/leg/foot and toes, and arm/hand. We are so thankful his head was protected, and so grateful he is alive. Due to the type of injuries, we suspect home modifications, accommodations, and transportation adjustments will be needed to increase Mike’s accessibility and quality of life.
HOW FUNDS WILL BE USED
All donations will be used to help support Mike’s wife and daughters during this time and to help pay for Mike’s medical bills.
MIKE’S STORY
We’ve always thought of Mike as the proverbial cat with 9 lives. In fact, the first words when he woke up from the accident were “I’m alive!” Mike is a fighter and always has been. He is quick to smile, has a positive attitude, and a love for dirtbikes, family, and adventure. On behalf of the Jeffreys and Mike’s family and friends, we are so thankful for your help - no matter how small. We know it will make a huge difference to Mike and his family as they navigate his recovery.
