"Send Me" to South Africa

Hello!
My name is Brittney Schlatter, and I am a Junior Nursing student at Union University in Jackson Tennessee. This summer I have been given the incredible opportunity to spend a month in Hammanskraal, South Africa serving as an intern with Bethesda Outreach Ministries.
Bethesda Outreach Ministries was born out of a desire to show compassion to children in Africa who had been orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS. For the past 15 years, God has been providing for Bethesda and they are now an official children’s home, Christian Academy, and Ministry Outreach. Bethesda’s goal was to create a village that would be an environment where children orphaned by HIV/AIDS would be raised by national Christian house parents, so that the children might become disciples of Christ. For more information on Bethesda and their mission, please visit: http://bethesdaoutreach.org/
As you can imagine, a commitment of this significance requires financial support from a number of people. The costs of the internship include airfare, ministry expenses, housing/living expenses, food, transportation, administration fees, tolls, and safety/security expenses. My total cost as an intern for the month is approximately $3100.
I will be traveling to South Africa at the end of May and spending the month of June there. I am incredibly blessed to have this opportunity, and excited to see what is in store. As my excitement builds while I prepare for this journey, I ask that you offer support in the following ways:
First, encouraging me in allowing God to work in my life through the personal enrichment that comes from this type of a mission trip.
Second, joining me in prayer. Prayer for His heart to be seen by the children I will minister to, prayer for safety during my time in Africa, and prayers for the continued mission of Bethesda. Prayer is the fuel that will allow me to be successful as I follow God's leading in this ministry.
Third, financial contributions for my internship.
As I am leaving at the end of May, my funding needs to be raised as soon as possible, and at the latest by April 1st. Any financial contributions would be a huge help in sending me to South Africa, and I am extremely thankful for the support given.
Thank you so much for your prayers and contributions.
-Brittney
