This is my baby girl Charlie. She’s spry, affectionate, strong willed, and fearless. And she has a broken leg. I’m not sure how it happened, I was at work, but when I got home last night she was not at the top of the stairs waiting for me. And when I found her she wouldn’t come out. Charlie spent many, many hours today at the veterinary hospital. It was determined that she had broken a bone between the joints on her ankle. Because of the nature of the break, she would need to either have a very expensive orthopedic surgery or have the leg amputated. Either option is incredibly expensive and after an extended hospital stay myself I am in no position to pay for this. Needless to say, I could really use a helping hand. Or, a few helping hands.
