Recently diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her ear, Helene Conlon, who has been deaf since childhood, needs surgery to remove the cancer. The procedure will require a lengthy recuperation period. Even with her disability, she has remained independent. She has been a valued part time employee at Home Depot in Wareham for over 8 years. She lives in her small apartment with her constant companion,Conrad, her hearing doxy dog. With some financial help she could concentrate on her recovery rather than bills.
