Isa's Fight

This beautiful little girl is one of my Pre-K students. Her
name is Isa and she just turned 5 years old. Isa has been
diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma. This tough little
fighter has already beaten this disease once before. This
time she and her parents will have to travel back and
forth to Ft. Worth for extended stays to get her
treatments. It will be a year-long regimen of very high-dose chemo.
She will have to leave her two elementary
school-age brothers behind on these trips.
Even with all this bad news, Isa is still full of joy! She told
her parents that she could still come to school even
during chemo treatments because she couldn't leave her
teachers and friends. When her mom was preparing her
for losing her hair, she said, "That's ok, right Mom?' Isa is beautiful
on the inside and out!
