Morley Water Polo Club is a community-focused, not-for-profit sports club that plays an important role in bringing people together across Morley and the wider Leeds area. The club provides opportunities for participation in water polo for all ages and abilities, with men’s, women’s and junior teams creating a clear pathway from beginner to competitive player.
At its core, the club is built on inclusivity. We actively welcome players from all backgrounds, ensuring that everyone—regardless of experience, confidence level, or personal circumstances—has the opportunity to get involved, stay active, and feel part of a team. For many members, the club offers not just sport, but a supportive environment that promotes physical wellbeing, mental health, and social connection.
A strong family feel sits at the heart of Morley Water Polo Club. Parents, players, volunteers, and supporters all contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere, where friendships are formed and lifelong connections are built. Social events, fundraising activities, and shared experiences—both in and out of the pool—help strengthen this sense of community.
As a non-profit organisation run by volunteers, fundraising is essential to the club’s sustainability and growth. Income from membership fees alone is not enough to cover the rising costs of pool hire, equipment, competition entry, and development opportunities. Fundraising enables the club to keep participation affordable, invest in quality equipment, support junior development, and ensure that financial barriers do not prevent anyone from taking part.
By supporting Morley Water Polo Club, you are investing in a community asset that promotes health, inclusion, and opportunity—helping people of all ages to thrive through sport.
