Grow the Game - MWPA Fundraiser

The Michigan Water Polo Association (MWPA) is seeking your help in raising funds to help the expansion and growth of water polo across the state of Michigan. In the last several years, the MWPA has struggled to provide the amount of resources we believe are necessary to grow our sport successfully. We have relied solely on team dues to keep us afloat financially and many of our teams are not yet recognized by their athletic departments as a varsity sport, and club teams are tasked with financially supporting their programs all on their own.

With your help and additional funding, we could provide many resources and opportunities for our athletes, coaches, officials, and our community as a whole. Our main goals to expand and enrich the MWPA would include (but are not limited to) the following:

-Help support new programs that enter into the MWPA (purchasing balls or other necessary equipment)

-Host coaching clinics for new coaches

-Provide more extensive training for officials

-Host introductory clinics statewide at middle schools that do not have middle school programs

-Provide assistance with pool rental fees for potential state tournaments at the University of Michigan and future state tournaments and/or All-Star games

-Cover website fees and compensation for our webmaster

-Purchase wireless officials headsets for each district

-Purchase postseason awards
