Gabbi~Therapy Dog EXTRAORDINAIRE !
Miss Gabbi is one incredible, amazing dog with so much to give!
Gabbi joined the very first class of Pet Assisted Therapy at Rancho Coastal Humane Society, through the national Love on a Leash Program.
Since that time, she been a blessing to so very many people who were in need of something extra in their care. She is such a rock star therapy dog, she was the very first pup to be welcomed to Aviara Healthcare's Alzheimer's unit to work with those special needs patients.
It's difficult to believe that such an incredible dog was found wandering in a remote town outside of San Diego. She was turned into a local shelter and that's where Debbie and Alan rescued her and gave her the life she so richly deserved. She arrived with perfect manners, stunning beauty and the heart and soul of angel.
She needs our help now!
She has gradually stopped eating and has undergone a myriad of tests over the last two weeks. Leaving her doggie parents confused, sad and out of resources. Her first diagnosis was cancer of the spleen, but they would like to do an endoscopy to rule out other conditions. The surgery for spleen removal would be in the $ 8000 range, they have already spent several thousand dollars and have no clear diagnosis. Gabbi is still not eating.
Debbie and Alan have been involved in our local rescue community for many years, pledging and donating to help other local rescue dogs and networking them to find them homes.
They never thought they would have to reach out for help, but they do~ and we would like to support them.
They have personally helped our rescue, Lucky Pup Dog Rescue on many occasions, and we would like to support them in their time of need.
Any and all donations will help Gabbi to find out what is wrong with her and move forward with the treatment she needs.
She is being seen at VCA in Kearny Mesa, the specialists as well as her own private vet.
Thank you!
