Hi everyone. My name is Rose. I am reaching out to the community for help covering living expenses while I am recovering from several surgeries. I have lupus and have lived with this diagnosis for a few years now, which also contributed to my diverticulitis. I went in for a surgery to remove my colostomy bag that i had for nearly a year. When the surgeon started surgery he saw that my colostomy surgery (done by a different surgeon) was completely botched and left me with life threatening issues. He decided to be brave enough to take on the task of repairing the damage that has been done to me. An outpatient surgery turned into 3 majors surgeries in 3 days. I still have an ileostomy bag on the opposite side. I was intubated until January 3rd. I was at a local hospital until January 19th in which I was transferred to a step down hospital. I’ve even told I have to be here for a few more weeks. I have since developed air in my bladder and may need another surgery. I have 2 young boys and mounting bills ahead of this long journey.
