Hello my name is Sergia Hawkins, I am a 49 yr old Father of 4 beautiful children. 2 boys and 2 girls. Sergia Jr 31, Shelley Denise 25, Bryson Terea 11, SkyGiselle 6.. these are my hearts. A little about me I guess.. I am a Military Veteran, Ex Law Enforcement and also Self made Entrepreneur and Barber. Funny cause I used to be a health nut... then back in Dec 2012, I went to the Dr to be seen because I thought I had the Flu... which it turns out "I Did!" But while I thought I was going to be treated and sent home.. they told me they were admitting me, that my heart was failing.. If you know me, you know I'm like, "Yall Crazy!" I feel good!" But after some tests that next day... I was told my heart function was only 21%! It still didn't really register until the next year when they had to go and put a pacemaker/Defibrillator in... and my body started showing signs that it wasn't the same... 1 of the last signs that Noone knows but I went to compete out of twn In Little Rock, Arkansas... I had just started kutting 2 heads at once for the competition.. The place was electric.. it was the 1st time I had my daughter by my side there to see her Father perform Live and In person... She nor any of my friends who were there knew.. during that performance my heart went thru so many different changes, my vision came and went... I had lost my senses and felt like i was about to take my last breathe for a minute and somehow I found a way to play it off... and won 1st place! That day I knew it was serious and every day since have bn living for what matters... my family, loved ones and what I love to do.. Bartering and making people feel Good about themselves! This journey has not been easy by a long shot... I have had hope, despair, letdowns of having a new heart to starting all over cause the organ could not be used... to years later when Noone knew how hard it gets to be Strong when You're running on all the reserve Faith, Hope, Strength and Will to live for your children.. To today Feb 16th, 2023 at 9:05 am They called and told me... Mr. Hawkins.. we have a Heart for you... God I Thank you... so now this next Chapter is Surgery, and plenty of prayers from everyone that my body accepts this New Heart and I make a Full Recovery! Everyone kept saying make a page so we can support and show our Love to you... lol, I'm so proud.. it took me to the ride to the hospital to actually make this... so Thank everyone in advance for whatever you can do and I promise I'm coming back Stronger and more determined than ever!
