Professional Golf
My name is Camden Morrison, for those of
you that don’t know me, I am 24 years old and pursuing my goal of competing on the
LPGA tour. I grew up watching golf on
Sunday’s with my dad and I was drawn to
the game. My first job was at the local golf
course cleaning carts in order to be able to play and practice. I threw myself into
learning about the golf swing and
mechanics, so that I could know how to
create different shots and how to fix
my own swing. Golf has taught me more
about life than anything else- what it
means to have grit, what it means to be
truthful with others and myself. Golf is my passion, being able to compete is the
bonus.
Since turning professional in 2018, I learned a lot about the game and what it takes to achieve my goals. In 2019 I participated in the first stage of qualifying school for the LPGA Tour. Although I did not make it through, I gained partial status on the Symetra Tour ( the minor league to the LPGA) for the 2020 season. Once COVID hit I wasn’t able to compete in any Symetra tour events because they had cut the field. However I was still able competed in a few local events including a pro-am, Hartford Women’s Open, and a few others. Luckily I have been able to maintain the same status for 2021 season and I have been continuing to prepare my game to be ready for the upcoming season. I started this go fund me in hopes of being able to compete those events and get closer to my goals. Any money raised would be going towards entry fees and travel expenses.
Thank you so much for taking the time to
read this, and helping me get closer to my goal. Please feel free to pass my story along to
others. All donations are greatly
appreciated, no matter how big or small
they will go a very long way.
