With broken hearts and unimaginable grief, we share the devastating loss of Tamara Rowe, a vibrant, hardworking 40-year-old Jamaican mother of two. Tamara was brutally beaten and stabbed six times by her boyfriend in Wakefield, Bronx—a horrific act of domestic violence that has left her family shattered and her two young daughters motherless.

Tamara’s death was not only a tragedy—it was a terrifying injustice that has left her children vulnerable, her loved ones heartbroken, and her memory begging for justice, dignity, and peace.

Why We Desperately Need Your Help

Tamara’s greatest joy and life’s purpose were her two beautiful daughters, ages 2 and 11. She fought every day to provide them with stability, safety, and love. Now, with her gone, they are at a heartbreaking crossroads.

Unless immediate steps are taken to secure their adoption by loving family members here in the U.S., these girls face being sent back to Jamaica and separated from each other —into an uncertain and unstable situation where they will have no consistent access to food, clothing, shelter, or emotional care.

We are racing against time to begin the legal adoption process before that decision is made for them. But this process is costly—and we simply cannot do it without help.
