Adoption

Hey friends and family!! We have some big news... We are adopting!!

As many of you know, we have been trying to have a little brother or sister for Autumn but have not been able to. Through lots of prayer and time spent processing, God has opened the door for us to pursue an adoption. We have always wanted to grow our family together, and we could not be more excited, humbled, and grateful that our long (and sometimes very painful) journey to do that has led us here to the place of growing our family through adoption. We are seriously overjoyed! And we know that adoption is very close to God's heart and ours.

“In love, he has adopted us as his sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." Ephesians 1:5

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As of January 2023, we are next! We are now working on our home visit and paperwork. We plan to continually provide updates on where we are at in the adoption process on this page as well as on social media, so stay tuned. :-)

It may surprise you to hear (it surprised us!) that adoption costs can easily total up to $10,000 - $20,000 or more. We are making this our number one priority in our financial planning at this time through personal budget changes, extra work, and applying for adoption grants (Although we are unable to know or predict the amount, if any, we will be awarded in grants. Also, if we are awarded any grants, unfortunately, foundations don't disperse funds until right before we take our child home, at which time is well past when a majority of the fees are due.)

We know that God will continue to provide for us how He sees fit, and we have complete faith that He will do that in His timing. We also wanted to invite others into this process as well. That is why we have set up this fundraising campaign with a goal of $10,000. We are so unbelievably grateful for the community that we have around us and we hope that by inviting you into this process, you will also see yourself as part of the community that we hope to build around our child as he grows up. We truly could NOT imagine doing this without the amazing family and friends that we have surrounding and supporting us.

If you are unable to donate financially, that is okay! We would be SO grateful if you would partner with us in prayer. We are praying:

• That our future child would continue to receive great love and care as he/she is waiting for us to come get him/her.

• That he/ she continues to grow and develop well and stays healthy.

• That this process somehow miraculously goes quicker than the typical time frame and we are matched quickly.

• That we would remain encouraged and trusting in God as we wait.

• That God would be preparing both our child and us for everything that the future holds.
