I asked this question one year ago. Are there women in Dayton who feel the way that I do about life? I've always wanted the world to treat me the way I see the world, and that is, it's beautiful EXACTLY the way it is. Different is empowering, and it's amazing! I was fed-up with feeling like others were judging me on my outward appearance and social status.
So I created my own safe haven. In May of 2014, I opened the doors to MVP Dance Fit. Since then, 2,000+ women have proven society is wrong. They have come together under one roof, regardless of category, and sweated their buns off! A small team grew into a huge army of strong-preservering women.
It turned out that I was NOT the only woman to feel this way. Super Great-Right? Well, we've run out of room. We also desperately need more restrooms, dance floor space, and SHOWERS (can we get an AMEN?)! Dayton is raising the standard that STRONG IS THE NEW SKINNY!
So why GoFundMe? Honestly, why not? Why wouldn't we take things full circle? I truly believe that women want to be a part of their community growing and thriving. This way, I will PROVE we are not "just a gym", we are far greater than the limitations society puts on us. Our MVP family wants to help women in every way they can, and they will stand up for Dayton with their ACTIONS!
