Hello, this is Laura and JT with Loving Friends Transport. I have never had to do this before and honestly I am a little embarrassed to be asking for help but LFT suffered a huge financial blow on one of our recent rescue trips. The electronic brain that controls the transmission on our big rig failed. We had 130 dogs and puppies on board at the time but managed to limp our way to the destination shelters and off loaded them all safely. After the rig was empty we took it to a Freighliner repair facility where we learned the repairs would cost $6,500! We don't make money rescuing animals. The cost of the rig and trailer came from our personal savings. This costly repair has depleted our maintenance funds to the point that if anything else happens to the rig we will not have the funds to repair it. Just one tire on the rig costs $800 and there are 6 of them. Friends of ours at the shelters we help urged us to ask for help in replenishing our maintenance fund so we can keep our rescue rig on the road. We would be forever greatful to anyone who could help us achieve our goal. We have over 8000 friends on our LFT page. If even half of those friends gave $2 each we would exceed our goal.
