Homeless Mother and Baby

Favour is a seventeen year old Nigerian girl living in Ghana. She is homeless and without any source of income. She was sleeping under a table on the beach in Accra. She recently gave birth to a little baby boy. The father had abandoned her and she was totally on her own.

The little baby is fighting an infected sore and is seriously ill. He needs a doctor's care but Favour simply doesn't have the money for it.

As well as that she needs absolutely everything: food for herself and the baby, diapers, and clothing for the baby, and all of the basic necessities of life. She also needs a mattress for the baby, who is presently sleeping on the floor.

With enough money she can get the baby's infected sore taken care of and have enough so that he can have regular checkups at the hospital.

Beyond that, with help she can get herself and the baby into a safe home and begin to get her life in order, perhaps even starting work so that she can support them both.

But for now the most important thing is to get the baby to the hospital to save his life.
