MVG - Save Our Gym

As most of you know, the recent developments within our country have affected many local, small businesses. My Varsity Gymnastics is one of those businesses. The gym has been unable to reopen since March due to the guidelines and restrictions set forth by Riverside County. This loss of business has forced the gym to examine ways to keep this business afloat and move forward into the coming years. It's time to help this gym reinvent itself!
For those of you unfamiliar with My Varsity Gym (MVG), allow me to tell you a little bit about this amazing home away from home! Established in 1995, MVG began as a small business operating within the City of Murrieta. In the beginning, entry level gymnastics classes were led by the owner of the small gym. Being a part of the city recreational program allowed the cost of gym classes to remain nominal and affordable. As the program begin to grow, new classes were added. A Tiny Tot program, Hip Hop Tumbling, Demonstration Team, and Acro classes joined the list of classes for all age levels and ability levels. In addition to all the classes, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) gymnastic team was initiated in 2010 and has continued to thrive.
This entire program is an upstanding business within our community that serves so many different athletes and families at an readily accessible price point. I have two daughters of my own who grew up in this program. Not only were they coached by amazing coaches over the years, they were afforded life lessons that I could not have taught them myself. This program instills many traits in the gymnasts/athletes that belong to it. Not only are the athletes exercising and learning to build lifelong healthy habits, they are taught to be a part of a team, leadership skills, dedication, perseverance, and a desire to be successful at a sport they truly love.
Another really great aspect of the program is the gymnast to coach program that allows athletes participating in the program train to become coaches and eventually earn jobs extending their experience and training to the upcoming generation of gymnasts.
As a parent of gymnasts who participated in this program, I cannot entertain the idea of losing this very special place due to the unforeseen financial impacts of COVID-19.
Please consider donating NOW to this small business so it can continue to serve our community. Funds would be used to reopen the business (when allowed), new equipment, along with personal protective equipment and supplies to maintain safety standards for coaches, staff and athletes.
