Mission Trips

In 2008, I became part of The Word Is Out, which is an international teching ministry. I began my journey to use whatever abilities God has blessed me with in order to help and support people in develpiong countries. Over the next few years, with the financial support of family and friends, I have been able to go to several Afrcian countries including Zambia, Uganda and Kenya .  In every small city and village I encountered people who possess very few worldy goods but have hearts, spirit and a capacity to love far greater than my own. I went to to each country intending to help, support, teach and encourage the people there yet I came back having been lifted, taught, inspired and changed by them. 

This May , I am planning to go to Lusaka, Zambia for two weeks to help establish a learning center for men and women who cannot afford an advanced  education.  Then in July, I am planning to go to Valenzuela City and Manila in The Philippines for two weeks to work with a school, run a weeklong training conference and help with construction and clean-up,

The cost of airfaire, food and bottled water (a necessity), basic hotel accommodations, ground transportation, visas, vaccinations, malaria pills, miscellaneous costs and time off from work make these trips expensive. I need to raise the bulk of the money by April. 1st. (No fooling!)
