Help Vaeh get a diabetes alert dog
Donation protected
Nevaeh was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in June of last year. With type 1 diabetes the immune system attacks the cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. Nevaehs pancreas doesn't produce insulin so she takes shots 4 times a day. (Hopefully moving to a pump soon) When her sugar gets low or high she can pass out, have a seizure or go in a coma and worst case death. Most scary times is at night while she is sleeping. Getting a diabetic alert dog would alarm us when her levels are reaching those points. The dogs hve extensive and expensive training. Just to be put on the waiting list is $1500 and when the dog is born another $1500. Then comes the training. The company we decided to use will have a final cost between $8-10,000. Please help us help Nevaeh bring home a DAD to make her life easier and to give her a life partner to battle this crappy disease with her. Thank you all.
