Daisy May Vet Bill

Hello, my name is Alexia. I started this GoFundMe page to try and raise money for Daisy’s vet bills.

before we get into it, Daisy is a five-year-old beagle.. but she’s not just a dog to me. She’s my baby.❤️.

On March 11 Daisy started having drooping eyes and she was limping on her right leg. We first took her to the vet where she had to get blood test and bloodwork to see if maybe a tick cause this. We got her blood work back, found out that she has a diagnosis of anaplasmosis which is caused from a bite. She had to be started on very strong antibiotics doxycycline 100 mg every 12 hours for 28 days. And unfortunately it didn’t just stop there. She started having green pus come out of her eyes. She had a fever. she wouldn’t eat. We continued to monitor Daisy, continue on the antibiotics oral and eye drop antibiotics..

Fast forward to today march 16. We rushed her to Dartmouth Maritime emergency vet. Her eyes would not stop draining blood in both eyes. Her third eye lead will not stop bleeding. It’s very swollen bulging out of her eye. Where she is now going to have to stay for 48 hours she’s going to get repeat bloodwork. She’s gonna have to have possibly a blood transfusion, depending on the results of her blood work panel. She needs to have IV therapy. She needs to have pain management and possibly new medication’s following. We were planning on roughly having the same vet bill as the one we did and back in pictou county, which was only $500 but unfortunately. We found out that it’s either going to be $4000 or $9500. I have never made a GoFundMe page, but I’m doing this for Daisy so she can have proper care at the vet.
