MVA AVID University Experiences

Mar Vista Academy School's AVID/AVID EXCEL program is a schoolwide college and career readiness initiative designed to increase the number of students who enroll and succeed in higher education and in their lives beyond high school. Our Vikings attend a Title 1 school, and most will be the first in their family to attend a 4-year university. Our goal is to provide our AVID/AVID Excel leaders with many experiences to create individualized career and college plans for their futures.

This spring, we will take our 7th and 8th students to visit various California Colleges.

For most of these students, this will be the first time they step foot on a college campus. This trip will allow them to see how higher education is a viable opportunity.

The money donated will provide transportation while we are exploring our college options. We would appreciate any amount. Your contributions will help students be able to expand their horizons toward a brighter future.
