The CHS Dick Brock Memorial Scholarship

The Class Officers of San Angelo Central High School Class of 1979 ask that you participate with us by contributing to the newly-formed CHS Dick Brock Memorial Scholarship, honoring one of our own, Dick Brock who passed away on August 15, 2021.

The CHS Dick Brock Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating CHS Bobcat pursuing a career in criminal justice/law enforcement. Dick's service is August 23, and we'd love to have donations prior to the service and share with Leslie, his surviving wife of 39 years. This scholarship will be awarded to a member of the CHS Class of 2022.

After graduating from Central High and studying Criminal Justice at ASU, Dick spent his entire career as a dedicated law enforcement servant with the ASU Police Department, San Angelo Police Department, and as a board member and president of the Texas Municipal Police Association.

Special thanks to Bobcat alumni Terri Wilson Haley for initiating a desire to honor Dick, and to Bob Warren, Dick's long-time best friend, for helping set this up, and CHS Principal Bill Waters for guidance.

Any amount is requested, but we hope to provide a minimum scholarship of $3000. If we receive more we will extend the scholarship another year.
