India's Brain Surgery Fund
Donation protected
My name is India Bond and on Thursday February 12th, 2015 I had a sudden and spontaneous seizure while at work at Molbak's. I was immediately rushed to Evergreen Health Center via ambulance. Shortly after my arrival to the emergency room, I was seen by a neurosurgeon whose name is Dr. Ali Naini. He ran me through a plethora of tests and scans showing that I had a mass in the left side of my brain. Dr. Naini decided that surgery was necessary and that it should be conducted as soon as possible. After the surgery (that happened on Friday the 13th, of all days) and a weeklong stint in the hospital, I was released with a great prognosis.
It was not until after they performed the surgery that they were able to completely confirm what the mass actually was. The growth is called arteriovenous malformation or AVM for short. Basically it is a bunch of veins and arteries that form improperly at birth. They slowly swell up with blood over time and are in effect time bombs that will hemorrhage, causing complications such as seizures (like the one I experienced).
I am now left with a large medical bill with more to come. And due to the recovery process that goes along with something as serious as brain surgery; I have been out of work for several weeks and will be forced to work short days for the unforseeable future. Any amount that can be donated will go a long way to help me put this traumatic event behind me.
Thank you so very much for your consideration.
