We are a TEAM of high school students from NYOS Charter School (Not Your Ordinary School) in Austin, Texas.
We recently attended a state conference for Texas Association of Future Educators. Twenty-one NYOS TAFE members attended and eleven of us qualified in competitive events! Now we have the opportunity to attend and compete at the Association of Future Educators National Conference in Washington, DC, April 23-25.
No team of any kind from our school has ever qualified for this level of competition and we are very excited and proud to represent our school and our families.
We need support raising the funds for registration, travel and lodging. Our school is very small (920 in grades PreK-12) and our funds are very limited.
