Transplant for Tony

Donation protected
People say that your whole life can change in a moments time… This is exactly what happened to Tony Anzilotti  and his beautiful family when tragedy struck their doorstep. For those of you that know Tony – this introductory won’t come as a surprise to you. Tony is someone we’ve all called a friend for what feels like a lifetime. He is an amazing husband, father, son, brother, friend and so much more. His contagious energy, love for his family, kind heart, sense of humor and love of music is what brings joy to Tony and everyone around him.
Tony is only 37 years old. He is a loving husband to Kim and a father to his 2 young boys, Carter (5) and Cameron (3). It all started last week when Tony felt ill. He started vomiting and showing symptoms of what Kim said she thought to be food poisoning. His symptoms progressively got worse, and his breathing became labored. Kim called an ambulance and Tony was rushed to Palos Hospital where they ran some tests. It was then when Doctors realized Tony was in critical condition suffering from Liver and Kidney failure. He was transported to Northwestern Hospital where they sedated him, began dialysis, and put him on a list of medications to try to control his blood pressure and regenerate his liver. As you can imagine, his family’s world collapsed in a matter of 24 hours. Tony was diagnosed with acute liver failure and put on a liver transplant list immediately. Doctors believe this was caused by a virus that infected his body, but they may never know what that virus was or how he got it.
This brings us to date. Tony is still fighting for his life and by the grace of God a liver has been matched for him. The surgeons believe the window for the transplant is now. They believe Tony’s only chance of survival is to move forward with the surgery as soon as possible. The road to recovery is going to be extremely long and difficult for Tony and his family, not to mention the financial burden, list of expenses for medications, and lost income. Please consider donating anything you can to help our friend, Tony, in this time of need.
Lastly, but most importantly, please continue to pray. Pray for Tony. Pray for Kim and the boys. Pray for Tony’s family. God has been undeniably present during this time, and we will continue to keep our faith in Him and in Tony.
Thank you.
