Update on Kayla….

After her first surgery, she began leaking CF fluid. They drained it several times before deciding to have her undergo a SECOND surgery to put in a plate and fat graft to seal the leak…we thought they would put a shunt in at that time due to the amount of fluid, but no. NOW the pressure in her head is very high and her lumbar drain is leaking, so she will have her go through a THIRD surgery for an angio and a shunt….lots of frustration!!! Please keep her in your prayers.

I am putting the go fund me back up, because this is going to set her back BIG TIME.

My best friend and most giving person I know, was recently diagnosed with a vestibular schwannoma. This is a tumor that developes on the nerve that passes from the inner ear to the brain and causes vertigo, tinnitus, balance difficulties, hearing loss and facial paralysis as the tumor progresses. She will be undergoing a 10-12 hour brain surgery to remove It. Post surgery she will have permanent hearing loss In the left ear, and severe vertigo. She will have to relearn how to sit up, stand and walk without triggering her vertigo. Her pre and post rehab, Doctor appointments, transportation (as she will be unable drive for several weeks) and normal living expenses as the single mother of 4 children will be difficult and stressful. I am asking the troops to rally behind her and donate anything you can, to ensure that she will be able to pay her bills and provide for her children during her 8 week or more recovery. Prayers and positive thoughts also much appreciated.
