Ashley’s Army

Dear family and friends,

I have started this fundraiser for my sister, Ashley Rutter. If you know her, you know that she is feisty, funny, and will tell you exactly how it is. She is hard-working and has a strong work ethic but in October, she received shocking, life-changing news.

She was diagnosed with stage 4 HER2- ER+ breast cancer. About two weeks ago the severity of this cancer was discovered by the doctors as it has moved into lymph nodes, bones, and other organs. This aggressive cancer has quickly started to impact her ability to function at work. She has started to take medication to shrink the cancer and to try to slow down the spreading but the medical bills are starting to roll in. As a server/bartender, she does not get sick time and she has to pay for her private health insurance.

We apologize if you are just finding out about her diagnosis by this post. She is a private person and discussing this openly is very difficult. We hope that you can join us in supporting Ashley as she battles the biggest fight of her life. Any funds that we are lucky enough to receive will go towards her bills so that she can focus on her life living with this disease without adding financial burden stress. Sharing this fundraiser and prayers are always appreciated too.
