Mutual Aid for Hurricane Melissa Relief in Jamaica
Hurricane Melissa has caused devastating damage across Jamaica—my ancestral homeland where I travel often and have family and friends who are working to support each other. This fundraiser is a community-driven mutual aid effort to provide direct relief to those most affected. Funds will go toward coordinating essential supplies—food, clean water, medical items, hygiene kits, and home repair materials—delivered directly to households in need in Westmoreland with boots on the ground.
I will be traveling to Jamaica the week of November 10 to personally deliver supplies and assist on the ground alongside two remarkable women and dear friends leading this effort:
Nadine McNeil, wellness provider and emergency response specialist who has led and supported large-scale humanitarian operations with the United Nations, will oversee logistics and local coordination to ensure transparency, efficiency, and impact.
Cassanie McKenzie, founder of WellCalm, will coordinate the distribution of supplies across affected communities, working with trusted local networks and volunteers. She is currently setting up a base closest to the disaster area to organize donations centrally and save gas on distribution.
Together, we are committed to getting aid quickly and directly into the hands of those who need it most—without bureaucracy or delay.
Your contributions will help us provide:
- Food, clean water, and hygiene essentials
- Medical supplies and home repair materials
- Transportation and support for vulnerable families and elders
We’ll share updates and photos from the ground so you can see your impact in real time.
Thank you for standing in solidarity with Jamaica during this urgent time. Every dollar helps us rebuild homes, restore hope, and reaffirm our shared humanity.
❤️ With gratitude,
Eren, Miles, Marilyn (Angie) and the extended SterlingMAC Family
