Hello friends. Our neighbor Umut Bayramoglu could use our assistance. Her hot water heater and plumbing lines need to be replaced so her beloved bungalow will continue to serve as a safe haven for her as she contributes so much to the vital organizing work being done in our community. Pick any important issue— environmental, food insecurity, community trainings to protect our immigrant neighbors— and you’ll find Umut working behind the scenes. She speaks truth to power in her brilliant blog, Cassandra at the Well, and helps keep our friends and neighbors informed about political candidates, local protests, and local art and music events. Umut is an integral part of our community and I don’t know anyone who better embodies the spirit of mutual aid. This is our chance to show her our appreciation. Please share widely and give if you’re able!
