Mutual Aid Request for Lex

To those who love and cherish Lex,

On behalf of Lex, I am reaching out with a crucial mutual aid request. Lex has been tending to the deep impacts of trauma on their mental health. This is an ask to support them in getting critical relief through treatment. Please feel free to share this request with trusted others who may not have been included but would want the opportunity to support Lex.

Lex has explored and tested multiple forms of care and treatment and they are seeking deeper, transformative support and healing. They were invited to watch a film documenting the tremendous results of a particular treatment provided to veterans. Throughout the film, Lex identified with the many ways these veterans described their experiences with PTSD (and all that comes with it: decline of executive function, memory loss, suicidality, panic attacks, etc.). The treatment these veterans underwent has had tremendously positive results. You can read about it here

Lex has further investigated this treatment and the various clinics that offer it (there are many!). With deep hope and trust in this medicine and Ambio , they scheduled their treatment with the clinic for October 15th.

It’s deeply meaningful for Lex to be vulnerable in this way and lean into interdependence instead of isolation. Lex and their partner Kate are able to put $3000 toward this treatment but the total cost of treatment is $7,850.

The goal is to collectively raise $4,850 to cover the remaining cost of this treatment, by October 10, 2024 .
