hi all. i f*cking hate to be back here again after feeling like i was finally making progress and on the right track after landing a job earlier this year, but as you may have seen i lost that job last month purely from company budget issues, and have not been able to land another in the time since. i filed for unemployment immediately after, over a month ago now, but have still yet to hear back from them as the queue times for my state are ridiculous, and have not had any income for 4 weeks now, on top of already facing a backlog of late fees from my apartment due to not having a job before. the property manager for my building had let those build up without any urgency, but the building recently changed hands, and i was just notified last night that if i cannot pay next month’s rent + the late fees, just over $2,400, by the Sept 10th i will be out on the street. on top of that i still need to pay for food and my meds, and cannot cover the cost of new shoes or glasses which i desperately need, and im kind of at my wits end here. i feel like i have done everything i can to try and secure income this year, and am waiting to hear back from several gig opportunities that pay decently well for later this month, but even with those i am not going to be able to come up with the money in time, and i’m terrified i’m once again out of options.

this is sort of a last resort, but if there’s any chance someone is in a more stable position to help, it would mean literally everything to me. literally. anything would get me closer to safety, even if that’s just making sure i can get a storage unit if i can’t meet the deadline. we’re in f*cked up times, and i know there’s people with even less, so please only consider if you have the means, but sharing also helps if not. love you all, thank you for taking the time to read, brighter days ahead.
