MUTUAL AID: Help A Transwoman Catch Up With Rent and Bills

Donation protected
Hi,

I’m Ziggy Rosado, (30f) based in Brooklyn, NYC. I’m reaching out because I’m currently in between jobs and going through a difficult financial transition. With the job market being rough, it’s taken a mental toll on me being unemployed for almost a year. I’ve been applying for work every day and doing everything I can to get back on my feet, but in the meantime I’m struggling to cover basic living expenses.

As a latina trans woman, navigating employment and financial stability sometimes comes with additional challenges, and this moment has been especially tough. I’m doing my best to stay positive and keep pushing forward while searching for a new job.

Right now I’m trying to raise $1,500 to help cover rent, medication, groceries, cat food/litter, and utility bills while I continue my job search.
A short breakdown:
Rent ~ I’m short $1,000
Utilities ~ $200
Medication ~ $40
Groceries ~ $160
Cat Food/Litter ~ $100

I have a few leads but I’m racing against time with upcoming rent and bills due in the coming weeks. This support would give me the breathing room I need for stability and focus on finding work.

I’ve made enormous efforts to make ends meet. Asking for help isn’t easy, but I’m hopeful that with the support of my community I can get through this difficult period.

With Gratitude,
Ziggy
