UPDATE 6/5/26
Our friend and xadre Sky has made a significant recovery since their cancer testing and treatment began. They are now considered low-risk for mucosis fungoides and is now under testing for (MS) Multiple sclerosis. They have been cleared for low-level exercise yet will require bed rest for at least 60 days. Please consider assisting us in helping Sky cover their medical costs and complete their immigration process.
Thank you so much for your continued help thus far. It has now been one year since this fundraiser began. We would not have made it this far without your help, and with this next step in Sky’s recovery we can finally see an end to their hardship. Please consider helping us when and where you can by sharing our cause even if monetary donations are not possible.

UPDATE 11/18/25
Our friend and xadre Sky is being tested for a rare type of cancer called Sezary syndrome. Their upcoming surgery will examine enlarged lymph nodes in order to rule out differential diagnoses and seek second and third opinions. This process takes time within the public healthcare system, which will require Sky to rest as much as possible while results come in. Please consider assisting us in covering Sky’s housing, food, and medication costs.
We are so incredibly grateful for your contributions thus far. We have full confidence in the doctors assigned to Sky’s case and believe they will make a full recovery upon the completion of surgery and arrival of their test results.

Sky is currently battling a severe eczema-induced staph infection after recently testing positive for COVID. Alongside medical bills, they must now find new housing after their roommate moved out with no warning. This fund will be used for medications, relocation expenses, immigration appointments, and an apartment deposit.
For over 10 years, Sky has been a mentor and equal rights educator for queer and trans youth all across Latin America. Their activist work with House of Vemanei continues to advocate for the rights and protection laws for women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and all marginalized peoples.
