Hi everyone! My name is Guadalupe. I am the co-executive director of the New York State Youth Leadership Council (NYSYLC). The NYSYLC is the first undocumented, youth-led organization in New York. 

Both of my paternal grandparents in Mexico City, have tested positive for covid19 and we need your help to support them financially. They are elderly and immunocompromised. Currently, the Mexican government is not doing much to care for the elderly that have been impacted by the virus. Much like New York City, Mexico City is considered the epicenter of the virus in Mexico. Outskirts of the city, where my grandparents live, are more impacted considering there are fewer medical facilities and accessible medicine. 

My aunt, who is a doctor, is currently trying to care for them from home but in addition to balancing her full time job and everyday costs, we are also struggling to cover my grandparent’s medical expenses. Unfortunately, other members of my family in Mexico who help care for my grandparents have tested positive as well. 

Your donation will help in supporting my family in Mexico to purchase:
- Oxygen for my grandparents
- Antibiotics and other necessary medical supplies for my grandparents and other family members who have tested positive for covid19
- Additional financial support for my family, as many of them are out of work
