Mutual Aid for Beloved Community Leader
Donation protected
A beloved Native elder is in need of our support. Out of respect for her privacy, we are not broadcasting her name. MM was reluctant to let us come with this public request because she is sensitive to how folks are struggling to make ends meet as well as to send material support to P*lestine. We come mindful of this.
We are a strong community that has stood by one other in our times of need; we pride ourselves on the care and support we give each other. But more importantly, these acts of kindness and mutual aid are what keep us strong.
Our attention is now needed for our dear sister who has represented and led her indigenous community for decades, and who has been a fierce supporter of oppressed people’s struggles everywhere from Turtle Island to P*lestine.
MM has recently suffered multiple medical hardships that have limited her ability to work and function in her daily life. She is currently recovering from surgery to address one critical medical issue and is scheduled for further procedures that will drastically limit her movement for many months.
We are asking you for mutual aid to help with her medical bills as her health insurance is not sufficient and with her other life needs until she is able to return to work.
Our target is to raise $25,000 to relieve the stress of material needs so our sister can focus on her healing. We need her back on her feet to keep the light of liberation and justice shining on all of us.
Thank you for anything you can give!
