Hello, my name is Isidor! I’m seeking some help with my financial situation during some difficult times. Back in June, I was informed that my hours would be cut from full-time to part-time. I was lucky enough to have savings and receive some financial support from my family while I tried to navigate finding employment (both part-time or full-time) that would meet my accessibility needs, as I experience chronic pain due to having hypermobile Elhers Danlos Syndrome. Unfortunately, in August, I was faced with further financial stress when I was given less than a two weeks notice that my contract position with the city would be ending prematurely, thus losing my employment.

While I have been able to make ends meet, I am running out of funds to pay for basic necessities and living expenses. The stress of trying to find a job has caused my chronic pain to flare up. This has further limited my ability to work, as the majority of jobs will cause irreparable damage, and has made applying for jobs more difficult, as more of my time has to be spent trying to mitigate my pain. Though I have some work opportunities I am waiting to hear back from and have found part time work that meets my physical capabilities, this is not enough to cover my large expenses. Financial stability would decrease the constant stress I am under and, in turn, help decrease my chronic pain, allowing me the ability to do what I need to reach financial stability on my own.

I’m seeking to raise the remaining funds I need to help cover rent, bills, and other life necessities while I am managing the stress of finding a job. My rough estimate for about two months is $2,000 to cover these expenses plus other necessities. Any funds raised that I do not use will be donated to another queer person’s mutual aid fund.
