Mutts in Need - Perros en Apuros

Dear people - my name is Barbara, I live in Costa Rica, north Pacific Coast, and I rescue animals for a lot of years already.  And almost every day sad things happen. Among others, this puppy was found about a week ago in a village nearby, next to a river inside a plastic box. It was still alive, but it was icecold already, it had white gums and a white tonque  :( - I wrapped it into a towel, gave it some drops of honey water what it swallowed very slowly. Then it looked at me - and died. I feel so sorry for this tiny puppy, about 8 - 10 weeks old, with its long fur, big ears, a bit of a sheppard in it - such a cute sweet puppy which could have had a wonderfull life ! Rest in peace dear little one, you are in a better place now. The puppy was with me only for a very short time, but it deeply touched my heart.  I know a lot of people here in Costa Rica are struggeling to feed themselves, so there is no money left at all to care about their pets. This is why I start this fundraiser, my concept is to offer help - I created a flyer what says : If you are feeling desperate do not dump your animal in the bushes, roadside ditch or in garbage cans. People will find phone numbers to call and a group of friends will go and pick up this pets.  Then I will take them to a vet to get them checked, then they can recover at my place - Barbara.s Animal Rescue - and will try to re-home them. To get to know me a bit, please have a look here :  Thank you !
