Update and explanation concerning my Go Fund Me Campaign WISH:
SEE INSERT NEXT:
(Some people are donating to my old GO FUND ME PROJECT FROM my first need back a few years ago) I am very computer illiterate, and could not figure out how to end the original project, so when I put up my NEW GO FUND ME PROJECT a few days ago, I wrote an UPDATE on that one. So what I am doing is as any donations come in on either one, I change out the needed funds this time around, that REFLECT the NEEDED FUNDS, for this NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING APT. I hope this makes sense:) I LOWER the needed FUNDS ON THIS PROJECT, if someone donates to the OLD/ORIGINAL PROJECT. Dated today October 16th 2024.
I just turned 75 years old the end of March, this photo was taken on 29 July 2014 the day of my husband's Military Graveside Service. He served our country for 28 years, both active and US Army Reserve. I have mostly worked at cleaning homes over the years. Due to an injury at age 21 taking classes to better a job situation made it not possible to do that. It was a head/brain injury. I am very blessed to have the skills I still have....some injuries do not show on the outside. Smiles.
I lost my husband on 5 July 2014, we had been living in St George, Utah and in April of 2013 he was told by our doctors that his heart/kidney issues were now in a terminal stage. So we moved back to the Pacific Northwest where be both are/were from. I had been his only care taker for the previous 8 years of that downhill slide. He had a lot of near death medical emergencies over that time. Became homebound and on oxygen etc. Then he passed in Hospice after 7 days of being admitted to the Care Facility.
My Go Fund Me Campaign WISH is to be able to return to St George, Utah to have my past medical doctors back in place once again, that included my dentist that allows me to make payments, and my eye specialist and surgeon. I have/had both glaucoma and cataracts since 2011. I also am wanting to live in a much warmer climate where I could walk almost year round with my heart issues by doing so in the early mornings. I had a triple bypass in 1998, and am now out 21 years this April.
I did not know there was such a place for those of us who have a WISH or need to make a change in our lives. Then someone told me that I should set up a Go Fund Me Campaign, and I looked into it and found that there is such a variety of people who are doing just that.
With the change of the weather now with Spring, I am finding that the anxiety has lessened with the sunshine, and so I am continuing on with my plans to move back to the land of SUNSHINE.
This was the 4th long cold, dark and icy winter here in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho since my husband passed, and I now know what the anxiety is from. That being as I am aging and not having my long time previous doctors, and not having my Eye Surgeon to have eye check ups is putting stress on me, and that now has turned into an urgent need to have more CATARACTS removed. Then having to stay inside for months at a time during our long cold winters here in the Pacific Northwest.
I have a 20 year old upper denture that has developed a hole in it over this winter, and do not have the funds to have it relined, whereas in St. George, my dentist would allow me to take 6 months to pay for the relining, and I have my Cardiologist, Primary PC, and Hypertensive Specialist in place in St. George, and my Eye Doctor/Surgeon. I have taken very good care of my upper denture over these years, as we did not have dental care. Yes I am slowly falling apart. Lol!!!
I was planning on the move back to St. George, Utah by no later than the end of October, but since it will take longer to get the donations gathered for the move, I will have to move out the move to next spring as there may not be enough funds for the move by my previous date of end of September. If anyone can even make very small donations I will be so very grateful.....My needs are for the moving company to take my one bedroom senior apartment furnishings. That would cost around $1,500.00, and I would need the next deposit for another apartment in St. George, which would be right at $1,000.00. The total I would need to make the move would be right at $2,500.00. Reason being is that I live on a very tight senior fixed income.
None of my family are in positions to help me as I age, nor can they take me to doctors appointments, as they all work and have their own grandchildren's lives they are active in. They live in Southeastern Washington, and Northeastern Oregon, both on opposite sides of the Columbia River each about 40 miles from the Umatilla, Oregon Bridge. I live up here in the Northern Idaho Panhandle, about 25 miles east of Spokane, Washington.
I have not had a car since 1 year ago this last February, as the rents are so high over the Pacific Northwest, and the Southwest, that I could not afford to keep it, I have to take a taxi at this time in my life without a car. We have bad city bus service here in CDA, Idaho, St. George, Utah has much better city bus service, and senior services for getting to doctor's appointments.
I am so grateful that I have had a Go Fund Me donor family that has been so very generous to my WISH! They have helped me so much on my way back to St George, Utah. They have given me way more than anyone would even imagine that one family would give. Wow!!!
If anyone can even donate a small amount, I would be very grateful, as they add up over the months, and that would help me return to St. George, Utah.
Blessings and thank you for looking at my WISH that has turned into an URGENT NEED over the last few months.
