This weekend has been a challenging one for our boy Muskie. On Saturday morning, we noticed he was having difficulty urinating and was clearly uncomfortable. After bringing him to the emergency vet, we were informed that there may be a stone in his urethra causing a blockage. However, as we were weighing our options, the vet came back with even more concerning news stating they discovered a large mass on his spleen. This complicates things even more and makes our decisions more urgent.

We decided to push the stone back into his bladder, which allows him to urinate for now. Even though this solved one of our problems, we now urgently need to move forward with surgery to remove the mass from his spleen to prevent any ruptures. This surgery will also include the removal of any stones to avoid any complications in the near future.

We’ve created this GoFundMe page to ask for any help with the costs of his surgery and medical care. We never want to feel like we’re burdening anyone, but we’ve come to realize that any contribution, no matter how small, would make a world of difference in helping us get Muskie the care he needs.
