Who we are
We are Klangweltfinder – L’Arte del suono e.V., a choir and non-profit association for music and educational projects. Our mission is to build bridges through music – between people, generations, and continents. Our Homepage
Why this project
With our new international project ALFONSINA, we aim to revive the cultural legacy of Alfonsina Storni (1892–1938) – a poet born in Switzerland and raised in Argentina, who became one of the most important voices of Spanish-language modernism. Alfonsina wrote about freedom, self-determination, and the power of poetry – themes that continue to inspire people today. Her life connects two worlds, two cultures – just like our music. With ALFONSINA, we are creating an artistic bridge between Switzerland and Argentina, between past and present, poetry and music, art and education.
Artistic direction
Under the artistic direction of Esther Haarbeck (Switzerland/Germany) and the Argentine composer Martín Palmeri, whose Misatango has been performed over 3,000 times worldwide, a new interdisciplinary composition is being created. The project brings together choirs, musicians, dancers, and poets in a moving work that unites young people, amateurs, and professionals from both countries.
Participating ensembles include the Coro Alfonsina (based in Nidwalden & Ticino / Switzerland) and several choirs from Argentina under the direction of Martín Palmeri.
What we achieve
- Workshops for young people and amateur choirs in Switzerland and Argentina
- Collaborations with schools and universities (including the music universities of Zurich, Bern, Lucerne, and Lausanne)
- Open calls for young musicians to participate
- Interdisciplinary collaboration between musicians, dancers, and poets
- World premiere of a new composition by Martín Palmeri
- In November 2028, we plan three concert weekends in Locarno, Winterthur, and Bern, as well as a major concert at the KKL Lucerne. Intensive joint rehearsals with all participants are scheduled at the beginning of the month.
- Cultural sustainability: planned continuation in Buenos Aires
- Looking ahead: if sufficient funding is available, we plan to realize a new opera by Martín Palmeri about Alfonsina Storni – as a tribute to her life and art.

Why we are collecting donations
To make this cultural bridge possible, we need support for:
- Composition, rehearsals, and performances
- Workshops with young people and amateurs
- Travel expenses and accommodation for artists
- Organization, technical setup, and sheet music
Every donation – big or small – helps us let music become a language of connection. You help young people access professional art, ideas to grow, friendships to form, and cultures to meet.
Be part of this bridge
With your help, a project comes to life that shows how art and education can overcome boundaries. Your donation not only lets music be heard – it creates encounters, hope, and community.
Thank you for being part of this bridge.
