It's our 9th Annual Food Drive!
8 years ago a friend came to me and expressed that a Shelter for Battered Women and Children were in need of food. I decide to host an event with Artists and DJs performing for the people who brought us non- perishable food. The night was a great success!
We filled a van and delivered it the next day to the shelter. If you would have just seen the appreciation by the Women and their Children it would have left you speechless.
The people who attend the event felt so good about their actions that they requested we do it again.
To date we have fed over 42,000 families. Let's surpass 50,000 families this year! Once again we set out to feed Battered Woman and Children and many food pantries in the Chicagoland area.
In our 9th year it has become more prevalent for the survival of families.
This year the event will be held on Saturday, December 17th, 2016 at Trophy Room at 170 W Ontario St, Chicago, IL 60654. (10pm till Closing) Our objective is to raise as much food for the Shelter for Battered Women and their Children and various local food banks. I along with others will perform that evening. So I ask my friends from around the World who will not be able to attend in person to help with a contribution.
I will take the total contribution and personnaly go shopping and deliver the food with my friends. If the food amounts exceed the shelter’s needs we will deliver to local food banks in need.
