Hi, I'm Roland, a classical violinist for the last 40 years and now a violin teacher who recently suffered a significant stroke. I performed on stage throughout Europe but dedicated the second half of my career to teaching students, young aspiring players and professionals. I now find myself in serious difficulty, paralysed and have no sensitivity in half my body. My prognosis is unknown, my income is currently nil, and my future is uncertain. Any financial help or support from people who love and care about music and musicians is deeply appreciated. No matter the outcome of my stroke and the unlikelihood of being able to play the violin again, I intend to continue expressing myself and serving the arts in one form or another. Thank you.
