Music-Helping All Recover Together

The Chicago Federation of Musicians has created Music-Helping All Recover
Together in order to bring the joy of live, professional music back into the civic life of Chicago and the metropolitan area. 

All donations received will be used to provide urgently needed wages to our           members, professional musicians of the highest caliber, who have been
unemployed since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and may not return to work until Phase 5 of the recovery, still many months off. 

We will provide small, socially-distanced ensembles in area parks and public
spaces, with an emphasis on minority and under-served communities.  We will also
embrace the concept of music as therapy by partnering with experts in the field in order to develop best therapeutic practices.  Recovery is more than just part of
our program name, it is the centerpiece of our effort.

This campaign is managed by the Chicago Federation of Musicians, Local 10-208  of the American Federation of Musicians.  We currently have endorsements from
the Chicago Federation of Labor, United Way, and Alderman Byron Sigcho-Lopez
of Chicago's 25th Ward.  We are also working closely with the CAPS division of
the Chicago Police Department to insure that proper safety protocols are in
place. 

The love of music is a thing that unites us all.  Help us create the Soundtrack of the Recovery.  Thank you for your generous donation.
