Hello! My name is Chaste'y Rayford-Gibson, owner of Music & Me Studios in Sumter, SC. We're the only studio in our area that provides a variety of private lessons in percussion, strings, woodwinds, brass, and voice. As many of you have seen on television, South Carolina has endured a severe storm resulting in massive flooding. Many have lost their lives, homes, cars, and businesses. Unfortunately, my business was one of many that were destroyed. After serving the community for over 10 years with students ranging from 3-72 years of age, it is very devastating to watch everything demolished by water. As a youth, music and musical activities saved me from going down the wrong path. Therefore, I wanted to share my passion which birthed Music &Me Studios. Our Studio provides lessons to Sumter County and Surrounding areas. We have commuters travel from as far as Florence, SC which is approximately 50 miles away. Music & Me Studios is the only studio in the area that houses 15 disciplines under one roof. Many parents love the convenience of their children receiving instruction all in one central location.

Many items were unable to be salvaged in the studio. All instruments suffered great water damage and are unable to be used. A great amount of office furniture, equipment, and supplies were greatly damaged as well. This GoFundMe account has been set up to assist with the repairs and purchasing of new furniture and instruments needed for the studio. We would like to reopen the studio by the beginning of November.

Music is my passion, and teaching so many talented students over the years has brought so much joy into my life. I have five (5) part-time instructors and one (1) office manager that also look to the studio for extra income to provide for their homes. As we are a small town, many youth look forward to their private instructional time. We are more than a Music Studio, but a family that at this time will not be able to come together and share our love of music with our community.
