Hello!
My name is Rebecca Lockyer. In October 2025, my dad, Richard Lockyer, suddenly suffered a major stroke. It was a large bleed to the brain causing the right side of his body to become paralysed and the majority of his memory to be lost.
He has been in hospital for two months and whilst he is in recovery, my girlfriend, Katherine Creasy, and I are keen to put on a Musical Theatre Cabaret Performance. This performance is to raise awareness of the impact Strokes can have on people's lives, and to raise money for The Stroke Association but we need your help!
We will need to raise around £3,500 to put on what is looking to be an incredible production filled with a variety of talent. We have had a huge amount of friends and family offering to take part and support this event, the only thing stopping us is the finance. All money from this fundraiser will go towards putting on this production (not directly to The Stroke Association).
If we are able to reach this goal, we are aiming to raise money on behalf of The Stroke Association from the event itself.
This event means so much to me and Katherine as my dad's stroke has really put life into perspective. We want people to join together and understand what a Stroke is and the effect it can have on the things you take for granted.
Whatever donation size you are able to give, we would appreciate it more than you will ever know!
If you are unable to donate but would still like to support, please share this fund-raising page.
Thank you for reading this message and hopefully together, we can raise awareness about how Strokes can change so many people's lives.
Thank you,
Rebecca Lockyer and Katherine Creasy
